    As an Internet Developer, you will be part of a fast-paced team that supports our marketing efforts – working on new development initiatives, building landing pages, and support existing web properties.  You're also integral to helping us improve - working with the Client Center team, business analysts, quality assurance engineers and customers - bringing your technical knowledge to help solve business issues, squash bugs and keep things running smoothly.

    The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience building large-scale websites and applications with at least 2 years of Drupal experience in an enterprise environment.  You will have the ability to develop high quality code, enjoy solving complex problems and have excellent communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

  •         Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
  •         Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.
  •         Develop and implement custom modules in PHP/Drupal according to requirements to support the WVUS internet strategy and user experience.
  •         Develop and deploy changes to WVUS web properties, campaigns and other internet channels as needed
  •         Responsible for the development environments including source codes and documentation version control and unit test suites of one or more products.
  •         Participate in daily meetings and regular planning and review sessions.
  •         Serve as a major contributor to the technical design of solutions.
  •         Provide documentation as required and lead code reviews, planning sessions and routine status stand-ups.
  •         Provide accurate level of effort time estimates and recommendations for feature prioritization.
  •         Assist in release/deployment planning and execution activities.
  •         Troubleshoot reported issues found on World Vision internet platforms and respond to high priority issues in order to get issue resolutions.
  •         May perform on-call rotation duties.

Required Experience

  •         Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years).
  •         Practical, specialized work experience developing web pages and creating interactive content or related work experience; 3-5 years.
  •         Experience working directly with customers to meet business objectives.
  •         Ability to communicate proactively and collaborate with customers and teammates.
  •         Advanced level HTML/CSS3, PHP, and JavaScript, Drush, some Apache,
  •         Has previously worked in an Agile environment
  •         Advanced experience with Drupal: coding standards, common API’s, and best practices.
  •         Maintain or contribute to Drupal community modules.
  •         Experience with object-oriented design
  •         Experience with third-party applications/tools and integration
  •         Knowledge of web application security considerations
  •         Experience with source/version control systems – GIT, SVN a plus
  •         Experience with SQL (queries, bulk data import/export, etc.)
  •         Experience with continuous integration best practice and deployment strategy.
  •         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •         Experience in mobile development or responsive design is a plus.
  •         Experience with Analytics applications, include Adobe Omniture a plus.
