About the Job:
FINCA is seeking a Compensation Analyst to assist in the development and administration of employee salary programs. The position is based out of Washington, DC.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business unit and subsidiary management to analyze existing compensation structure and plan designs. Create and recommend solutions for improved plans in alignment with the business strategy;
- Design, develop, and implement new compensation systems and structures to support and enhance new and existing plans;
- Work closely with business units to ensure compensation decisions are in alignment with AmerisourceBergen's overall compensation philosophy;
- Evaluate new positions using established evaluation system and determines grade assignments;
- Identify and participate in salary surveys to obtain current data for job evaluations to ensure the company's competitiveness in the marketplace. Compile, analyze, and evaluate survey data;
- Contribute to the compensation reference library to ensure updated survey sources are accessible and available for use by compensation team;
- Provide analysis and migration support for merger and acquisition activity;
- Analyze and assist with the specifications for new plans or modifications to existing plans to:
- Maintain company's competitive position in labor market;
- Promote uniform compensation structure for all company locations where possible.
- Support the analytical process during changes to AmerisourceBergen's compensation strategy;
- Assist in the design of incentive programs by creating financial models illustrating return on investment scenarios in order to ensure incentive plans are effective and aligned with the business strategy;
- Create new job codes and titles for newly created positions;
- Assist hiring managers with writing job descriptions for new and existing positions and maintain job description library to ensure updated descriptions by position are accessible to HR managers;
- Assist in the coordination and facilitation of the merit increase cycles and validates information containing merit increase recommendations;
- Generate summary reports at the end of each merit increase cycle for management review;
- Work closely with the payroll department to coordinate pay rate changes and incentive payouts. Support all SOX compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Compensation Analyst role preferably in a financial services environment;
- Strong consultative skills and the ability to collaborate with others and build trust and credibility;
- Strong financial acumen. Ability to build enhanced tools used for improved compensation administration practices;
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations;
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals;
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications - specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
