the position
Our Lewiston, ID location is seeking
a Chemical Engineer to add to our team. This location has a rich history in the
community and has been operating for over 50 years. The Chemical Engineer is
responsible for developing new products and processes related to energetics and
improvements. Support general plant and analytical chemical process needs.
Responsibilities:
Improve qualilty,
reliability, safety, and consistency of processes associated with
manufacturing, handling, and assembly of initiating explosives and related
energetic materials.
Improve reliability
and performance of products associated with initiating explosives and related
energetic materials.
Design, develop
and implement new procedures and chemical processes for Manufacturing and
Chemistry departments.
Provide technical
support to other engineers, manufacturing, quality assurance, environmental
personnel, and customers.
Assist Safety
Department with Process Hazard Analysis and incident investigations related to
chemical and energetics processes.
Ensure the
Southport facility and processes adhere to AHOPS requirements the D.O.D.
requirements in the contractor’s safety manual for ammunition and explosives.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience
Requirements:
B.S. in Chemical
Engineering or M.S. in Chemistry
Minimum 7 years
(or 5 years with Masters) experience in process development, manufacturing and
handling of initiating explosives or related energetic materials.
Prefer experience
with design and implementation of industrial chemical processes.
