Chemonics seeks a human resources (HR) generalist to support its Employee Services department by
providing support to company staff globally. We are looking for self-starters who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide assistance and resolve problems for employees and all levels of management, guided by company policies, employment law, and federal agency requirements
• Conduct new hire orientation and related onboarding activities for home-office staff, including U.S. expatriates and third-country nationals
• Interpret Chemonics’ HR policies and procedures to assigned regions, ensuring consistent administration and compliance
• Prepare separation notices and conduct in-depth exit interviews
• Manage all incoming HR-related paperwork including onboarding, offboarding, and changes in employment status; review paperwork for accuracy and coordinate changes with the payroll and information technology departments
• Respond to requests for employment and salary verification
• Maintain relationships with vendors and serve as a liaison for related HR administration activities
• Interface with all levels of employees worldwide
• Participate in new business initiatives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent in human resources or related discipline
• Minimum two years of human resources administration experience; PHR certification preferred
• Working knowledge of a human resources information systems; ADP experience a plus
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite
• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated skills in diplomacy, critical thinking, and conflict resolution
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced, multitasking work environment
• Ability to handle confidential information regarding all employee-related matters at the highest level
• Strong consulting and customer service skills, including the ability to understand regional business needs and to explain HR processes and principles to a diverse group of customers
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
• U.S. work authorization required
• Fluency in Spanish and/or French strongly preferred
