The USAID | DELIVER PROJECT, a global public health supply chain project, managed by John Snow, Inc., and funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking a full-time
Communications Associate. The Communications Associate will be employed by The Manoff Group, Inc., a project subcontractor, and will serve under the supervision of the Knowledge Management Director. The position requires presence at the USAID |DELIVER PROJECT offices in Arlington, Virginia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production and Dissemination:
• Fill publication orders from project staff for trainings and conferences, as well as the general public, and USAID; suggest and provide resources for various activities; coordinate all shipping of materials
• Bind documents and prepare materials when needed
• Provide support to field offices as needed which includes providing resources, publications, and dissemination materials
• Support/manage reprinting of publications and promo items; ensure that production and printing comply with the blanket purchase agreement (BPA) guidelines; track orders and manage invoicing and payment process for vendors and contribute to BPA negotiations
• Manage the business card fulfillment process
• Manage the physical inventory and archives of publications and collateral/promotional items
• Contribute to planning, development and dissemination of project documentation including success stories, case studies, and blog articles
• Manage the submission of publications to the USAID Document Experience Clearinghouse (DEC) and the JSI Library
• Maintain the dissemination tracker to keep record of publications and materials requested and distributed
• Manage CD creation process
• Provide branding/format review, editing, formatting and layout and design support as needed

Knowledge Management and Communications Support:
• Monitor and answer ad hoc questions and publications requests daily from the general information email box
• Support social media, website, and dissemination efforts through content development and co-management of the photo blog
• Serve on DC-Admin workgroup for ad hoc activities
• Schedule and manage Communications Team meetings; coordinate team retreats and events; order supplies; other team administrative duties as needed
• Manage the organization and submission of project photos to the JSI Photo Database, project photo blog or other photo requests
• Make documents 508 compliant as needed
• Post documents and news items to the project website as needed
• Manage publications displays at conferences; when applicable, plan project events, serving on coordinating committee and as registrar and interfacing with vendors
• Support coordination of project presence at events (abstract submissions, poster development, booth coordination, etc.)


QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:
• Strong written and verbal English skills
• High-level computer literacy in Microsoft Word a must; familiarity with PowerPoint, Excel, or other spreadsheet or graphics software desirable
• Ability and desire to work in a team setting
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, but in close coordination with a team. • Proficiency with French and Spanish desirable, but not required
• Experience with USAID and/or other donor agencies highly desirable
• US citizen or eligible to work in US
