About the Job:
Accion International is looking for a Senior Specialist for Africa - the Smart Campaign, The Center for Financial Inclusion. S/he will work with the Smart Campaign director to ensure the success of the Smart Campaign and facilitate its operations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  •     Capacity building:
  •         Identification of strategic partners in Africa;
  •         Assist in development of expansion strategy for Africa;
  •         Outreach and communication to partner associations;
  •         Technical support to partners to enable them to execute strategy (trainings, assessments, upgrading projects etc.);
  •         Manage one of the community of practice;
  •         Conduct trainings and webinars as needed;
  •         Help to identify additional training needs.
  •     Tools:
  •         Contribute to the development and dissemination of a tools base of the Campaign; particularly development of tools based on Africa-partner needs;
  •         Help maintain content on website;
  •         Update partners in Africa on campaign activities.
  •     Certification:
  •         Support the certification program – with special emphasis on Africa;
  •         Contribute to certification pipeline.
  •     Other:
  •         Support the Campaign as needed;
  •         Provide support to junior staff as needed;
  •         Supervise the work of consultants;
  •         Coordinate regularly with partners on key ongoing activities to ensure on- time deliverables;
  •         Contribute to Campaign fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:
  •     University Graduate;
  •     Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or similar role;
  •     Prior experience with associations or networks;
  •     Fluent in French and English;
  •     Great interpersonal and diplomatic skills;
  •     Ability to work in different environments;
  •     Experience living and working abroad;
  •     Self starter;
  •     Prior experience with certification program(s) preferred.
