Its aim is to reduce poverty through the incubation, design, and implementation of innovative initiatives enabling poor households to strengthen their capacities to generate and accumulate various assets (human, productive, financial, etc.).
It focuses on increasing and improving the access of poor households to diversified formal financial services in Latin America and the Caribbean and on the design of instruments to foster productive investments.

About the Job:
Capital Foundation is seeking a Financial Inclusion Specialist to coordinate the capital project in El Salvador. The project objective is to promote the financial inclusion of the conditional cash transfer programs to€™ beneficiaries through saving mobilization.

Tasks and Responsibilities:


  •     Provide technical assistance to policy makers in areas related to financial inclusion;
  •     Coordinate the design process of the capital project in El Salvador;
  •     Fine-tune the financial education programs and incentive schemes for formal saving of the Capital Foundation;
  •     Elaborate project documents for the capital project implementation;
  •     Monitor project implementation and evaluation;
  •     Disseminate the capital project in the region.

Qualifications:

  •     Master's degree in Economics, Public Administration, Finance or related areas;
  •     At least 8 years of experience in microfinance especially in saving mobilization and/or micro-insurance;
  •     Field work experience;
  •     Knowledge on social protection is desirable and gender is highly desirable;
  •     Ability to interact with various stakeholders: high-level civil servants, operating staff, and people in poverty;
  •     Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to develop relations of respect and to conduct team work;
  •     Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%;
  •     Fluency in Spanish. Fluency in English would be a plus.
