As a Senior Project Manager for the Donor Relationship Management Group in the Corporate IT Team, you will be responsible to plan, initiate, and manage projects designed to transform World Vision's data analytics from single source to warehouse models. In this role you will also manage projects such as implementation and integration of a Peer to Peer platform, as well as partnering with customer teams to uplift the technology platform used to support Sponsorship Progress Reporting. Typically, project budget is greater than $1 million, team has more than 10 members, and duration is longer than one year. In your role you will help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies and personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
Responsibilities:
- Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.
- Confirm customer needs, conduct impact analysis, and propose project plans utilizing best-practice project management methods and tools.
- Engage WVUS staff and external consultants as necessary to meet project resource requirements.
- Direct and manage work efforts of team members on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that work adheres to quality standards and is achieved by project deadlines.
- Track project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet client needs.
- Evaluate project progress and results and report them to client(s) and management, ensuring that changes to scope, budget, resources and risk are communicated in a timely way.
- Recommend changes to improve project efficiency so that time, budget and resources are used wisely.
- Ensure that training occurs pertaining to the use of new or updated systems, policies, procedures, and/or best practices that result from the project.
- Participate in meetings with project managers to update each other on the status of projects under management.
- Lead interdepartmental and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Develop project budget, ensuring that it is realistic, thorough and meets the client’s expectations.
- Obtain management buy-in for project approach and/or project scope changes; may include overseeing strategic planning, research and analysis.
- Oversee relationships with consultants and contractors responsible for performing project activities.
- Work directly with senior management to identify and prioritize opportunities and risks associated with projects.
- Report project status and results to WVUS senior leadership.
- Facilitate hiring of consultants and contractors responsible for performing project activities.
- Mentor Project Managers I and II to ensure they develop and apply the skills and knowledge necessary to meet client expectations.
- May manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.
- Required Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems or equivalent work experience (eight years). Work experience in information systems; 8-10 years. Three years of project management work experience required.
- Experience with Data Warehouse, Master Data Management, Data Analysis.
