DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Donor Relations Officer, and in coordination with the Senior Programme Officer, the incumbent will: 1. Assist and facilitate the response to fundraising initiatives, information demands and drafting of proposals and reports after liaising with colleagues at the different units at Yangon level and at field offices; 2. Support the follow up to current donors' contributions, facilitating the response to queries from donors and/or UNHCR's Donors Relations service; 3. Support the timely submission of UNHCR donor reporting as per the guidance and instructions set by UNHCR HQs or donor requirements, liaising as necessary with UNHCR units, field offices and implementing partners; 4. Assist and facilitate the formulation of internal and external documents for fundraising and information purposes such as the Operation Fact Sheets and Programmatic Overviews, briefing kits, among others; 5. Support with project submission revisions including eventual liaison responsibilities, editing and formatting to meet UNHCR standards as well as donors' requirements; 6. Support the Donor Relations Section and Programme Unit with other activities as per the need of the operation. ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED University degree in International Relations, Economics, Business Administration/Management, Social Sciences or similar relevant field. Minimum 4 years (2 years with Advanced University degree) of relevant job experience (donor relations, external relations, programme) at professional level in UNHCR or other organizations that work in humanitarian relief/protection activities. Good understanding of UNHCR, its mandate, priorities, field operations and of donor relationship. Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to deal with staff members of different cultural and educational backgrounds. Excellent command of English (written/oral/comprehension); highly developed drafting skills.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES Experience in (UNHCR) field operations. Knowledge of UNHCR operational arrangements, its relief programmes, the funding needs and priorities a plus. UNHCR fund-raising and programming/programme management experience. Familiarity with funding mechanisms. Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential).
