    In this role you will conceptualize, plan, design, and execute graphic art/web design and production of corporate multimedia and print communications, achieving a level of design quality consistent with corporate identity and brand message and industry standards. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies.     Creativity


  •         Manage graphic design projects assigned by the Creative Director or other creative team leader, ensuring that needed information is identified, meetings are scheduled, resource is gathered, facts are accurate, World Vision ethos and mission are adhered to, clients are apprised of the status of their requests, and budget and deadlines are met. Maintain focus and intent of both program and client.
  •         Actively participate in creative and client meetings to develop strategy and propose solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  •         Working with Account Executives, provides input to creative briefs for client presentation to ensure agreement on design strategy.
  •         Work closely with writers to ensure the highest quality products and that strategy for the assignment is met.
  •         Understand, apply, and be able to communicate organizational brand and identity with the highest of standards. The ability to understand brand equity and deliver innovative approaches to increase brand awareness and apply branding visuals across a broad product line is essential.
  •         Develop effective design strategy that can solve the business need of the assignment without affecting the client budget.
  •         Maintain extremely high design and production standards and the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

    Technical

  •         Provide conceptual and technical advice to outside vendors/freelancers to ensure high-quality final products.
  •         Provide technical advice to print/media coordinator for press checks, photo shoots, pre-press services, display services, and all outside design production services.
  •         Provide illustrative comprehensive designs for management approval using design best practices.
  •         Apply "Color Theory" color correction to photographs for final production as needed
  •         Create original illustrations meeting client specifications as needed.
  •         Ensure that all electronic files transferred to print and other media vendors are complete and contain production values appropriate for the method of reproduction. Also ensure that complete documentation is included for client approvals, including color comps, working dummies and paperwork describing project specifications.

    Supervision
  •         Ability to lead brainstorming meeting and mentor lower level design staff and interns.
  •         Direct creative with lower level design staff and assist the Design Director with overall Branding and Identity issues as needed.
  •         Review progress with Creative Director.
  •         Meet or exceeds previous design level.
  •         Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team. Perform other duties as required.
  •         Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.

Required Experience
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (eight years). Must have expert work experience in print design, color correction and production, and web design; 8-12 years. Work experience in computer graphics, photography, production and multimedia. Previous advertising agency work experience is a must. Expansive knowledge of design, with ability in a wide range of software programs to produce written, design and photographic materials is required, as is a expert knowledge Adobe CreativeSuite 5 and MS Office products.
