Black Lantern is constantly searching for interns to assist our teams with art development and implementation for Nintendo DS/DSi, Wii, and other gaming platforms and devices. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) animation cleanup, asset formatting, and asset implementation for multiple projects. Applicants may be involved in all phases of the 2D or 3D pipeline, under the supervision of the project's Art Lead. Quickly developing skills in Photoshop are a must, and knowledge of other software such as 3dsMax, ProMotion, Flash, or other graphics applications is encouraged (but not necessary). Applicant must be a motivated learner, and able to adapt to a fast-paced, professional environment. Internships begin unpaid, but may develop into hourly, paid positions after the applicant gains experience with Black Lantern's process.

• Work with the project's Art Lead on any applicable tasks.
 • Clean up 2D sprites or 3D models, renders, or animations.
 • Implement assets using proprietary software.
 • Occasionally test games for art bugs.

• Proficiency with a PC
  • At least 1 year of Photoshop experience.
 • Eager to learn quickly, and review tutorials unsupervised if necessary.
 • Attention to detail and ability to accurately follow very specific and technical instructions.
 • Ability to meet deadlines.
 • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
 • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
 • A self-motivated team-player with good communication skills.

• Relevant college degree (you may apply while attending school)
  • Traditional art skills
 • 3D modeling skills  • 2D or 3D animation skills  • Other applicable software knowledge: 3dsMax, Maya, Lightwave, zBrush, ProMotion, Flash, etc.  • Passionate about games
