This is an IDEAL job if you are an engineer/developer with 5+ years of experience who wants to be part of a small, intensely skilled team, feels total ownership of your work, and can’t imagine a day without coding.  You will play a crucial role in Client’s Values-Based Targeting and Consumer Insights Platforms.  Everything you do will matter.

You are a skilled developer, with professional, real-world experience with MapReduce and noSQL systems.  You are a creative, focused, and technically curious.  You enjoy both design as well as working hands-on, deep in the code.  You probably eat a lot of pizza.



As a Software Developer, you will help move our platform to the next level.  You’ll be working as part of a skilled, collaborative team to jointly design and implement our big data solutions. 

You will be coding a system that processes billions of records every day. 

    Design and develop components of big data processing, as part of an agile/scrum team
    Help plan and implement methods to scale our product further
    Code features all the way from the Hadoop job down through the Linux OS/shell

    5+  years of experience developing applications with big data needs
    Solid understanding of the high volume, high performance systems
    Professional,  on the job experience with using MapReduce to solve real world scaling problems
    Professional experience with NoSQL solutions to solve real world scaling problems
    While experience with any MR/NoSQL is required, experience specifically with Hadoop and Hbase a strong plus
    Experience with agile methodologies and short release cycles
    Strong attention to detail, good work ethic, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and good communication skills
    Experience with systems that process at least tens to hundreds of TB of data
    Experience in digital media, online advertising, or reporting/analytical applications
    Experience working on systems that handle high volumes of data (hundreds of TB)
    Experience implementing applications that use extensive statistical or optimization technology
    Experience implementing machine learning
    Experience with large scale SQL databases is a strong plus.

    Technical Bachelor’s Degree required, e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Math
