About the Job:
AZMJ is seeking an International Development Intern. S/he will gain exposure to international economic development consulting. The internship is for 15-20 hours per week. The position is unpaid and will begin as soon as possible.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the organization and coordination of organization's annual flagship event, the cracking the nut conference, including organizing logistics, marketing conference, managing conference website and social media, analyzing conference-related evaluation surveys etc.;
- Assist with business development and coordinating proposals;
- Assist with writing reports for projects related to rural and agricultural finance;
- Assist with organizational projects.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or current Master's student (preferred) in Business, Finance, Economics or related field;
- Comfortable in a small business environment where priorities can change quickly;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;
- Organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints;
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills;
- Personal integrity and professionalism;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (required). Familiarity with social media (required). Experience in website design/maintenance and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred);
- Foreign language skills preferred (French and Spanish a plus).
