Purpose of the Position You will coordinate and oversee the design, translation, printing and distribution of DOC print publications, including the flagships (State of the World's Children; Annual Report; and Progress for Children) as well as other DOC advocacy publications approved by the Publications Review Committee. Key Expected Results 
1. Plan and manage the production, translation and printing of all DOC publications. Ensure that the project stays on schedule through design, translation into French and Spanish, proofing and printing. Liaise with editors, designers, supply section, translation coordinators, and printers to ensure that deadlines are met and publications are of a high production standard. Keep up to date on innovations in the publishing landscape, ie the impact of digital devices such as e-readers and tablets to ensure our materials are produced appropriately.

 2. Plan, manage and supervise the timely, efficient and cost effective worldwide distribution and storage of all Division of Communication publications. Plan print runs to ensure adequate stock and prevent wastage. Organize digital reprints of materials as necessary.

 3. Budget and administrative responsibilities. Plan and monitor the production; raise design and printing contracts; monitor projects for their cost effectiveness. Qualifications of Successful Candidate - Advanced university degree in humanities, science, business management or other appropriate area or relevant training/experience.

* - At least eight years relevant experience in publishing and managing production processes, at least three of which should have been in a supervisory role. - Fluency in English and either French or Spanish.

 *A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
