The
Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for new business
development within the engineering services division of our client.
Strong experience selling virtualization is imperative. This person
will strategically execute sales objectives and generate results in
achieving projected revenue targets through new business development as
well as maximizing business growth from existing customers. This also
includes working closely with the sales department to insure Client's
technical capabilities are clearly outlined to all potential clients. In
addition, the successful candidate will work in parallel with IT
engineering to discover new technologies, train for and achieve
certification status as needed, as well as assist in the delivery of IT
engineering solutions to clients across the continental US and
internationally.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: BS/BA and 5 years of equivalent sales experience in virtualization & engineering Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality assurance
- Possesses effective time management skills to implement rapid change
- Excellent communication skills to internal and external customers
ESSENTIAL PERSONALITY TRAITS/QUALITIES:
- Ability to influence C-level executives at the business and technical levels, as appropriate. Demonstrated success with relationship marketing and consultative sales activities resulting in revenue generation through new business development.
- Excellent presentations skills in person, by telephone and through the use of current technology.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency in performance and executing objectives
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills with all levels of people
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly with self-paced materials, internal training, through minimal supervision.
- Quick learner and self-starter.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous VAR/VAP work experience required. Strong pre-sales/business development experience in the VMware solutions, server solutions and storage solutions.
- Solid knowledge and proven experience with network infrastructure devices, Servers, virtualization and storage in Datacenter and Enterprise networks.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills - Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio
- Project management experience
- 40% travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop relationships with technical executives who are prospective clients or business partners.
- Demonstrate "best practices' in relationship marketing and consultative selling to generate sales in accordance to the Client's business plan.
- Articulates end-to-end solutions for customers with strong focus in datacenter networking, storage, virtualization and cloud offerings
- Works closely with the sales department on a daily basis providing pre-sales support, assisting in presentations, conference calls and sales visits as well
- Works closely with engineering to develop all pre-sales solutions for prospective clients. Assists in post-sales engineering work as needed
- Responsible for the smooth handover (technically) to operations of all new customers
- Responsible for the SOW/Technical review of all newly assigned accounts
- Keeps up with latest industry leading certifications, as needed
