Job Summary:
Duties
·
Institute and follow best practices to ensure
the organization’s full compliance with federal, state, and local firearm,
ammunition, bow, knife, and related product regulations including the Gun
Control Act of 1968
·
Lead and support all functions/positions in the
areas of firearms, ammunition, bow, knife, and related products compliance
·
Maintain and enhance the company’s firearms,
bow, knife, and related products compliance by planning, implementing and
evaluating compliance policies, programs and practices
·
Make recommendations to management regarding
changes and improvements in operations to achieve more effective and
streamlined compliance
·
Acts in the capacity of project manager when
working with the operational changes driven by compliance
·
Implement effective Compliance Program for
firearms and regulated products under supervision of General Counsel.
Job Requirements:
·
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent
relevant experience
·
Must be 21 years or older
·
Working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations related
to firearms, ammunition, bows, and knives
·
2-5 years experience with firearm, bow, and
knife regulations and laws
·
Must pass a background and drug test and be
legally able to purchase and posses firearms, bows and knives
·
Retail operation and/or management experience
preferred
·
Strong leadership skills to communicate and work
effectively with all levels of the organization
·
Courteous, professional, and positive
·
Excellent time management skills, organizational
skills and the ability to meet deadlines
·
A sense of urgency and commitment to excellence
·
Zealous attention to detail
·
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment,
