Healthcare scholarship opportunity in United States, Grants and Scholarships,



WGU Texas Scholarships
Recipients must be U.S. citizens.
Scholarships Title: WGU Healthcare Partners Fund
Scholarship Value: $2,500 maximum
Background Information:
WGU Texas is pleased to offer the WGU Healthcare Partners Fund for employees of partner institutions. These scholarships, each valued up to $2,500, are designed for employees of WGU’s partner hospitals and healthcare organizations who wish to advance their education to become educators, managers, and leaders in vital healthcare fields.

Who the Scholarship is for
This scholarship is for:
    Employees of partner healthcare organizations who wish to broaden their education, expand their responsibilities, or move into nurse education or management.
Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be an employee of one of our partner healthcare organizations. Contact your Enrollment Counselor to determine your eligibility.
Other requirements:
·             Complete an application for admission.
·             Submit official transcripts of all prior college work.
·             Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
·             Be officially admitted to WGU Texas.
·             Submit a letter of recommendation from the employee’s supervisor.
·             Interview with a WGU Texas Scholarship Counselor prior to award decision.

Multiple scholarships will be awarded. However, this is a competitive program and scholarships will be awarded based on a candidate’s academic record, financial need, readiness for online study at WGU, and current competency, plus other considerations.
NOTE: This scholarship is designed for new WGU Texas students only. Students are eligible to apply for these scholarships during the enrollment process and up to 60 days after starting a degree program. WGU employees and their spouses are not eligible to receive this scholarship.
Scholarship Value: $2,500 maximum
This scholarship will be credited to your account at the rate of $625 per six-month term, renewable for up to four terms.

The student will also be required to sign a WGU Texas Scholarship Agreement before monies will be awarded. The student must also meet the university’s On Time Progress requirements to maintain scholarship eligibility. Recipients must be U.S. citizens.

Scholarships Title: WGU Texas Teacher Education Achievement Scholarship
Scholarship Value: $2,000 maximum
About the Scholarship:
WGU Texas is pleased to offer the Teacher Education Achievement Scholarship for licensed or aspiring teachers pursuing teaching degrees. These scholarships, each valued up to $2,000, are designed for those who wish to earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree in education.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:
·             Complete an application for admission to WGU Texas.
·             Submit official transcripts of all prior college work.
·             Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
·             Complete an essay on "My Motivation for Earning a Degree."
·             Be officially admitted to WGU Texas.
·             Interview with a WGU Texas Scholarship Counselor prior to award decision.
Multiple scholarships will be awarded. However, this is a competitive program and scholarships will be awarded based on a candidate’s academic record, financial need, readiness for online study at WGU Texas, and current competency, plus other considerations.

The student must also meet the university’s On Time Progress requirements to maintain scholarship eligibility. Each student can only be awarded one scholarship that is funded or administered through WGU Texas during their degree program. Recipients must be U.S. citizens.

Scholarship Value: $2,000 maximum
About the Scholarships:
WGU Texas is pleased to offer the Go Further in Information Technology Scholarship. This scholarship, valued up to $2,000, is designed to help those with an associate’s degree and experience in the IT field earn a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:
    Complete an application for admission.
    Submit official transcripts of all prior college work including record of an associate’s degree.
    Have IT career experience.
    Be officially admitted to WGU Texas.
    Be able to demonstrate financial need. Each applicant’s financial situation will be reviewed individually. This will require completion of the Free Application for Federal. Student Aid (FAFSA). (Preference will be given to those with modest income.)
    Interview with a WGU Texas Scholarship Counselor prior to award decision.
Multiple scholarships will be awarded. However, this is a competitive program and scholarships will be awarded based on a candidate’s academic record, financial need, readiness for online study at WGU Texas, and current competency, plus other considerations.
