Do you believe in the possible? We do

Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime and that despite improving awareness and treatments the numbers affected by this disease are on the rise?  When you are in the business of fighting breast cancer, there is no room for anything less than 100% commitment, drive and passion.  As one of the UK’s most influential charities, Breakthrough is a bold, ambitious and creative organisation. Amazing supporters and innovative fundraising generate significant income which has enabled us to invest c£92m in our groundbreaking research, campaigning and education. Our Values sit at the heart of our organization.

But we know that our job is far from done, as women and men continue to get breast cancer and die from breast cancer in numbers that are completely unacceptable.  We have developed a bold new strategy to take us towards our vision of a world freed from breast cancer, which we can only put into action if we transform our levels of support.

This is an exciting new role which will be responsible for developing a totally integrated and co-ordinated approach to growing income and support.

As a key member of the Engagement & Income Generation management team, you’ll be central to realizing our ambitious plans for growth, working in collaboration with colleagues across the department and the charity to develop new approaches to inspiring the public and raising significant funds.  Experience of developing and leading strategies to grow fundraised income or commercial value through mass engagement is essential, as is experience of developing successful approaches to on-going engagement of large numbers of supporters.  You will have a strong understanding of the key drivers of engagement and income generation across a range of areas, including the role played by quality insight and analysis.

A strong and inspiring leader, your style and approach will be inclusive and collaborative with the communication skills to influence and build highly effective relationships within and outside the charity.

In addition to all UK bank holidays we offer 25 days annual leave plus all working days between Christmas and New Year, ½ day Christmas Eve, a pension scheme and a cash health plan.

Closing date:  14 May 2013
