Job Description

    As the Program Research Analyst you'll enhance the understanding and communication of World Vision's program effectiveness to various stakeholders, including: senior leadership, internal teams, external organizations, and current and potential donors. Deliver high-quality synthesis reporting that demonstrates program effectiveness trends and issues and that provides program insight and guides decision making. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

    Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.

    This position is located in Washington, DC.

    Program Analytics/Communication:

    Contribute to primary research through drafting narrative reports, data analytics, and situation analysis for key research projects.
  •     Analyze Area Development Program (ADP) program data from annual reports and evaluations to provide evidence of program effectiveness.
  •     Provide meaningful data summaries and visualization to both IPG and fundraising teams to enhance understanding of WV's programs and to demonstrate results to existing and potential donors.
  •     Produce portfolio and trend analysis of ADP programs and national portfolios.
  •     Identify lessons learned, innovations, and practices to inform decision making.
  •     Remain current on relevant regional and national office strategies, as well as DME innovations, learning, and knowledge in support of program and project reviews.
  •     Facilitate the documentation and dissemination of best practices from country programs.
  •     Perform other duties as assigned.
  •     Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.
Required Skills
    
Required Experience


    Master's degree in International Development or a related field or equivalent work experience (ten years). At least four years of international program work experience, research methods, and working within a Design, Monitor and Evaluation (DME) framework required. Experience within World Vision's ADP programming and LEAP DME framework, preferred. Experience using Horizon/PMIS and SPSS or other statistical software preferred.  Secondary language abilities is a plus (Spanish, French and Portuguese). Qualified candidates should have experience carry out analysis of secondary data, including some statistical analysis. Experience should also include strong writing background, especially in generating and writing reports.

Working Environment / Conditions
Standard office environment. Domestic and international travel required up to 10%. All applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. at the time of application.
