About the Job:
Accion International is seeking a Chief Operating Officer for a Sub-Saharan Africa based MFI (a partner organization of Accion), founded in 2010.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  •     Development and adaptation of products;
  •     Development and improvement of operational procedures;
  •     Training and supervision of MFI staff and other departmental personnel;
  •     Promotion of products and services of the MFI;
  •     Performance analysis;
  •     Market analysis and recommendations for opening new outlets;
  •     Participate in recruitment, reporting, improving systems and procedures of the institution, and strategic thinking among other essential tasks.

Qualifications:

  •     Minimum of 10 years experience in managing microfinance operations;
  •     Mastery of best practices in terms of microcredit;
  •     Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior management role;
  •     Experience in Africa is highly valued;
  •     Strong writing skills;
  •     Ability to work well independently;
  •     Fluency in French, comprehension of English;
  •     Moral integrity, management and teamwork skills, highly organized, proactive.
