About the Job:
Accion International is seeking a Chief Operating Officer for a Sub-Saharan Africa based MFI (a partner organization of Accion), founded in 2010.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Development and adaptation of products;
- Development and improvement of operational procedures;
- Training and supervision of MFI staff and other departmental personnel;
- Promotion of products and services of the MFI;
- Performance analysis;
- Market analysis and recommendations for opening new outlets;
- Participate in recruitment, reporting, improving systems and procedures of the institution, and strategic thinking among other essential tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in managing microfinance operations;
- Mastery of best practices in terms of microcredit;
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior management role;
- Experience in Africa is highly valued;
- Strong writing skills;
- Ability to work well independently;
- Fluency in French, comprehension of English;
- Moral integrity, management and teamwork skills, highly organized, proactive.
