It seeks to alleviate global poverty by expanding the economic assets, participation, and power of the poor, especially women.
About the Job:
WWB is seeking a Director - Bilateral & Multilateral Partneships. S/he will provide strategic direction and manage all donor engagement with bilateral and multilateral partners.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Learn and comprehend the WWB's business model and financial needs;
- Establish first year fundraising targets and metrics for measuring achievement;
- Assume the relationships of existing partnerships;
- Become trained in and fully integrate the use of Salesforce in day-to-day activities;
- Establish with donors personal reputation and the WWB's position as the go-to global thought leader on women's economic empowerment;
- Identify and develop opportunities for strategic alliances;
- Cultivate and nurturing relationships with donors, while making or guiding new funding requests;
- Support the implementation of the organization's 2014 - 2016 strategic plan and the accompanying financial plan required to deliver the strategy;
- Develop a multiyear investment and growth strategy;
- Manage donor research, proposals, reporting, and other communications;
- Work closely with the marketing and communications department to effectively communicate the brand identity and WWB' value proposition to donors;
- Work closely with WWB's event staff to secure sponsorships, where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters highly desirable;
- More than 5 years of bilateral and multilateral fundraising experience, within a fast paced, complex environment;
- Understanding of the ways that branding, marketing, and communications support and enhance fundraising efforts;
- Success working in an entrepreneurial environment where limited resources are leveraged to produce maximum results;
- Success working with organizational leadership, using their time and resources on a selective basis;
- Highly sophisticated interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships internally and externally;
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills;
- Fluency in English/Spanish/French;
- Strong strategic and analytical skills;
- Strong organizational capabilities;
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM;
- Ability to work collaboratively and interact effectively with people of other cultures, abilities, and socio-economic backgrounds.
